The Worst Earworms

I've started a second blog, called The Worst Earworms and it's at

For any of you who know me, I'm a pop music geek. I oftentimes find myself with the absolutely most random crap in my head... and I do mean crap. It could be a theme song to an 80s sitcom like that Nell Carter gem, "Gimme a Break!" or Madonna's oddest choice for a single ever—"Hanky Panky" from Dick Tracy (it actually somehow went Top 10!).

So I thought I'd share my misery—and my somewhat encyclopedic knowledge of disco and terrible 90s alt rock. Hope you visit sometime!

Remembering Steve Jobs, one year later

Visit today, and you'll be treated to a poignant montage of Steve Jobs' visionary successes. To mark the one-year anniversary of the Apple co-founder's death, Apple has honored him with a video of Jobs posing with his products, from the original Mac, to the iPod, to the iPhone.

It is accompanied by snippets of Jobs' keynotes, starting with a Wayne Gretzky quote that he loved: "I skate to where the puck is going to be. Not where it has been. And we've always tried to do that at Apple."

The video is set to Yo-Yo Ma's rendition of the prelude from Bach's Cello Suite No. 1.

All I have to say is, "Thanks, Steve."
